List of companies that paid bonuses or boosted pay since tax bill passed

USA Today reports, “A growing number of companies benefiting from tax cuts are showing their employees the money. One-time cash bonuses are the most popular way companies are sharing the windfall they expect from paying less in taxes. Many employers are boosting hourly pay. And a small number say they will increase matching contributions to workers' 401(k) plans.”

Congress prepares to knock down barriers to broadband expansion in rural America 
USA Today

USA Today reports, “On the heels of President Trump’s orders to expand broadband access, Congress is preparing to follow suit with an aggressive push to make high-speed Internet service more readily available in rural America.”

Canada talks tough on trade as endgame on NAFTA talks nears

Reuters reports, “Canada is talking tough with the United States, stressing its determination to push back against what it says are unfair trade practices ahead of crucial talks to revamp the tri-nation North American Free Trade Agreement. U.S., Canadian and Mexican officials meet this month for the sixth and penultimate round of talks to update NAFTA, which President Donald Trump has threatened to abandon unless major changes are made.”
