ūüö® KEY VOTE ALERT: Reg. Accountability Act (H.R. 5)

ūüö®¬†This is a U.S. Chamber KEY VOTE ALERT¬†ūüö®¬†

The U.S. House of Representatives is expected to vote on the Regulatory Accountability Act (H.R. 5) this week and very possibly in the next 24 hours. Contact your Representative before the vote.

This legislation is critical to reforming the regulatory regime that’s been used over the last eight years to sidestep congressional oversight and enact burdensome and costly regulations that have slowed job creation and our economy’s growth.

Modernization of our regulatory system is long overdue, with rulemaking provisions virtually unchanged since 1946! H.R. 5 would target the most expensive and burdensome of these rules for increased scrutiny through greater transparency, holding agencies accountable, and making sure the data behind the decisions of regulators are made publicly available.

As you weigh-in with your member, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on the legislation’s progress.

All it takes is a couple clicks. Already contacted your Member? Go here and highlight the bill with them on Twitter or Facebook by clicking either logo at the top right.
