Veteran job expo in Cincinnati on May 31

The Hiring Our Heroes/RecruitMilitary Veteran Opportunity Expo will take place Thursday, May 31 at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.  Hiring Our Heroes events are part of a nationwide initiative launched by the U.S. Chamber, in collaboration with the military-to-civilian recruitment firm RecruitMilitary, to increase the hiring of veterans and military spouses.

There have been more 100 Hiring Our Heroes 100 events in 45 states and the District of Columbia. There are 400 events planned for this year. RecruitMilitary is inviting veterans who already have civilian work experience, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members to participate.

More than 60 employers, franchisors, educational institutions, and government agencies have reserved exhibitor booths at the expo in Cincinnati including: Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, Amazon, The Home Depot Logistics and Supply, The Home Depot, The Kroger Company, General Electric, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the National Veterans Employment Program (NVEP) of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, DeVry University, Grand Canyon University, Pinnacle Entertainment, Total Quality Logistics Inc., Sallie Mae, Boyd Brothers Trucking, United Road, Humana, Reynolds and Reynolds, Nash Finch Company, CinCom, University of Cincinnati, Roadmaster Driving School of Ohio, InSphere Insurance Solutions, Aflac, Verizon Communications, Thomas and King Inc., Coca-Cola Refreshments, Convergys, Elite Welding Academy, WellPoint, Meridian Bioscience Inc., Walgreens Medicare Part B, Kaplan University, Michelman Inc., Intelligrated, Meijer, Cincinnati Police Department, Lincoln College of Technology, David J.
