Maria Tworek’s bar, the Brass Monkey Sports Bar in Omaha, NE, like every other small business, relies on electricity. As she puts it, if their coolers aren’t keeping the beer cold “we don’t make money. We have no business.”
Maria’s family-owned bar depends on affordable, reliable electricity. Unfortunately electricity prices for American families have almost doubled in the last ten years. The administration’s war on coal—the “Blackout Rule” and new greenhouse gas rules targeting coal-fired power plants—means fewer sources of electricity and higher rates for hard-working families.
And I thought the administration was for an “all-of-the-above” energy strategy. I guess I heard wrong.
