Labor Petition

Yes, I agree with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce that the union bosses' efforts to overregulate the American workplace, and their agenda of trade protectionism, tax increases and a government takeover of American health care is bad for businesses, bad for the American worker, and bad for the country.

I oppose the unions' wrongheaded policies of :

  • Doing away with workers' right to a secret ballot in organizing elections.
  • Tapping their members' pension savings for purposes other than funding the pension program.
  • Abusing the shareholder proxy process to win concessions from companies that could not be won at the bargaining table.

These policies are bad for businesses, bad for the American worker, and bad for the country.

I support the Chamber's efforts to advance a positive agenda for the American worker -- improving education and training, keeping taxes down, opening new export markets, and rebuilding America's infrastructure.
